I'm a Nigerian Youth Corps Member. National Youth Service Corps recruits recent Nigerian University graduates for a year of National service. I was posted to Enugu North L.G.A Council, Enugu North as my place of Primary Assignment (P.P.A).

When I relocated to Ugwuaji community, because of the high rate of house rent; the poor condition of the substandard educational infrastructures and basic facilities in the community schools broke my heart and left me in tears. I cried not because I'll be there for the whole year, but I can't face they ugly situation those innocent children are compelled to live within the community. I know certainly, that my monthly stipend even if saved for the entire year can't cover the cost of rehabilitating this schools. But I know some of my efforts plus yours can take this project off the ground, and thus bring light into this lives wallowing in darkness.

Currently:
1. 701 pupils are compelled to use one toilet (both boys and girls).
2. Pupils having to sit on the floor in their various classrooms, due to lack of desks, etc. Sequel to this, I am setting out to resuscitate the dying state of education via rehabilitation of dilapidated buildings in the academic environment in most schools in that region.

Thus, helping these Voiceless Kids(Deaf and Dumb) to receive lectures in a conducive environment and empower them mentally to maintain and recreate their environment. (Via Vocation Training on Welding, Tailoring, Bead making and Hair making).

These are majorly basic primary and high school education sector. Specifically, the Special Education Centers,(Physically Challenged Children).
